I was extremely disappointed with the feel of the material. It was not soft at all. Very embarrassing to give as a gift.
The look is quite stunning, much like when she wears one of my dress-shirts as a nightgown, but the material is fragile and on the "scratchy" side. It runs a bit small, seams are single-stitched which tend to stretch or tear very easily, and even with hand washing, it did not last more than a few weeks before it began to come completely apart. She purchased two (one black, one white), the black one fell apart after the second wearing (she slept in it), and the white one was trash within a few weeks (wearing only for "play"). The bra and thong are little more than "eye-candy", but that is what they are for, right? The bra is also designed for "perkier", "smaller" breasts... my wife is 38D, and the function was not quite there, if you know what I mean... If you are petite, with 34-36A/B cups, this will be more to your liking for mood setting, but beware... this is not a nightshirt for sleeping in... it will fall apart quickly that way. Even with hand-washing and lying flat to dry, the bras and thongs were quickly trash... the shirt soon followed....
Overall, 4-stars for the look. But I have to downgrade to 1 star because of durability (or lack thereof), cheap material, bra size(34-36A/B cups only), thong size/material (petite w/small hips only), and overall size running one size smaller than the label. This nightshirt combo has only one purpose... not for "wearing"... for "taking off". Unless you are petite with small breasts, small hips, and plan to only wear this to "get his attention"... don't waste your money! You're better off just wearing one of his dress-shirts... he'll probably appreciate it more anyway!
